RadVu RadVu is a software and integration solution for Radiology Departments which is designed to improve document productivity, increase efficiency for radiologists while reading new results, and improve the quality of a patient's medical documentation. The overall end result for a Radiology Department is an increase in radiologists’ productivity, administrative efficiency, and improved patient care. The fundamental component of the RadVu solution is the radiologists web-based user interface. This user interface was designed to speed up the radiologists reading of new results while improving the patient's medical documentation. The RadVu user interface is designed to display a patient's previous reports in a way that is logical and useable to the radiologists. The most recently transcribed report for on the order type the radiologist is currently reading is displayed on the screen, sorted by that report type category. The query to the patient historic information is performed hands-free by integrating with existing bar code devices. The dictation bar code device reads a barcode representing the patient by an identification number. The barcode information is sent to the RadVu Document Repository, and the query results are presented in reverse chronological order. This automated view of historic reports allows radiologists to review past readings without the need to search through paper or key patient information into a system.
